Playbirds with a flexi disc. Circa '75.


IIRC they had a 33rpm EP flexi inside and a voucher for an LP . Just what was on them? I presumed it was heavy breathing type stuff or MM relating dirty stories but never found out as the newsagents in which I had a Saturday job kept them under lock and key which made them difficult to steal. Which has only added to my intrigue over the years.

Or if anyone actually has one and can rip and upload it, that would be super, smashing, lovely.

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did search but couldn't find 'owt.

Trunk Records put out a CD of vintage flexi-discs ( in their unedited form ) from 70s UK porn mags called 'Flexi Sex'. Its great.

Irish Anabel was just plain scary!

I grabbed them as .mp3s and can upload them for anyone that wants them but doesn't know how to snatch them.

Sadly I don't think it's worth even the trifling sum of £6.75 but at least I now know what my ITT Music Centre was missing out on all those years ago.

I was foolish enough to invest in a cassette tape from the Private Shop in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the late 70s which seemed to be a similarly "so what" experience.

What is it about audio (or aural) sex that it always turns out to be such a ripoff ?

"Flexisex" is very time and place specific... I must confess I enjoyed it, although it definitely has more comedy value than erotic. My question is, has anybody uploaded any of the Playbird flexis, or the cassette tapes mentioned by Andysmz above? The ads in period magazines are so intriguing!
