A couple of weeks ago (post #114), I posted two pages of reviews (here:

from the July 1989 issue of Genesis, which referred back to an earlier review by the same writer, Jeff Abel, in which he said he had been very positive about the Carol Cummings Show series of videos, just launched, but now he had decided that his earlier enthusiasm wasn't justified. These pages, from an earlier Genesis, might be what he was citing:

In his review of The All-American Girl, he didn't recognize Victoria Paris (the blonde), but I think most VEFers will. (To be fair, the lady was just getting started in porn then.) But, getting back to Carol Cummings, I normally would add separate scans of the three small photos of her on the first page. However, the same photos have appeared in larger versions in other magazines, so I'll add those here instead, for higher resolution:

The first two scans (which took up a page and a half) of the lady with John Dough, partly out of Scout uniform, are from Adult Video Action, August 1990. (The small black circle, supposedly hiding something too hot for a soft core skin mag, is probably just a bit of salesmanship, since Genesis and a couple of other mags published smaller versions of the same photo without such self-censorship.) The third scan, of Carol in striped top and Randy West barely visible, is from Hustler Erotic Video Guide, November 1989. The fourth, again with Carol in striped top and Randy in mid-munch, was a full page in Oralrama, volume 2, number 3, 1989.

The odd thing about those three small photos in the Genesis review (and, of course, the larger versions) is that none of them are from either Cum Rain, Cum Shine or The All-American Girl. The first one, pairing Jon Dough with Carol, does have him in his Boy Scout (or "goy" scout) uniform which he wore repeatedly in in two or three installments of the Carol Cummings Show series, and the scene may have been shot for the CC Show, but it never appeared in any of the five videos, instead showing up in The Red Baron. And the other two pics of the lady, wearing a striped top, are from her scene with Randy West in For Her Pleasure Only. Another odd thing is that in other magazines' reviews of Cum Rain, Cum Shine these same photos repeatedly appear, suggesting that Fantasy sent them out with the review copy of the videotape. I wonder if it was a mixup or the scenes were originally intended for the first or second installment of the CC Show, but somebody changed their mind, and whoever was in charge of promotion didn't get the memo.

As long as the subject of Carol's scene with Randy West in For Her Pleasure Only has come up, here are a few more stills from that scene:

The first photo is from Erotic X-Film Guide, October 1989, and the second and third are from Hottest X-Rated Film Scenes, July 1989. Once again, I think the small black circle in the second photo is only there to make you think that it's hiding something hardcore. The fourth pic is from an interview with the lady in Adam Film World Guide Annual Best 1989. I've posted the interview here:

The fifth pic is a very small photo which accompanied a short review of Carol's video, Cum Rain, Cum Shine in the Adam Film World Guide X-Rated Movie Handbook. (I neglected to get the date of publication when I did the scan, so I'll have to add that later.) The review is another example of a photo from For Her Pleasure Only being used to illustrate the wrong video. Here's the review, with the small photo:

The sixth pic is from Adam Film World, volume 13, no. 1. (When I scanned the photo I neglected to note the year of publicaiton -- have to fix that sometime.)

Getting back to Genesis, on the second page is a still from Carol's second scene in Imagination Xposed. Here's a separate scan of that small photo:

Carol, Nina DePonca, Mark Wallace, and Jeff Golden were in a set that looked like a lot of black plastic garbage bags had been nailed to the walls and floor. All four were naked and covered with oil (vegetable oil, Carol says in an interview, adding that the oil got over everything and the shoot was a disaster). In the photo, Carol is on the left, sitting on a nearly prone Wallace, and DePonca and Golden are the other couple, to the right.

And here's a review of Imagination Xposed in Adam Film World and Adult Video Guide (the last four words are in small type), Vol. 13, No. 2, which has more stills of the scene:

On the actual video, the scene is short, possibly because the oil was getting on everything, and not much usable footage was obtained. That's a pity; Carol looks very good covered with oil.

On the first page, is a stack of three pictures. If you're not sure who is who, in the top picture, left to right, are Carol, with Mark Wallace standing behind her, then Nina DePonca, then Jeff Golden.

In the middle picture, left to right, Wallace (I think), Carol, Golden (I think) lying on his back, DePonca atop him.

In the bottom picture, left to right, Carol exercising Wallace's thing, then Golden with DePonca sitting atop him.

In the larger photo that spans page one and two, left to right, Wallace, DePonca (barely visible), Carol (closest to the camera), Golden.

The blonde and brunette at the bottom, back on the first page, are not in the oiled up scene.

I've included pages two and three, although Carol doesn't appear in the photos on them.

The fifth and last page has four pix of Carol (as Daisy Mae) and Jeff Golden in the video's first sex scene.

P.S. The November 1991 Cinema Blue had another still from the oiled-up scene. Here it is with and without accompanying text:

I wasn't aware that Hustler had anything to do with the video (incidentally, Cinema Blue is a Hustler offshoot mag), and the brief description gets the title wrong (Exposed instead of Xposed, though that might be the fault of a proofreader making what he or she thought was a correction), and misidentifies Carol as Fallon and Golden as Jon Martin (unless Golden and Martin are both aliases for the same porn stud). The wrong I.D. of Carol might be a good thing, since otherwise CB might have made snide remarks about her once more. In the photo, that's Wallace prone, with Carol, Nina, and Golden from left to right.

And two more pics, one with hay and one with oil, are in a review of Imagination Xposed in Erotic X-Film Guide for September 1989:

Regrettably, in this still (the second one, above) from the Wesson oil session, Carol is in the background with Golden and not very visible, while Wallace and DePonca are in the foreground.

Maybe I should put all the pics of the oily foursome in one posting and call it "Portrait in Oils." Or maybe, "Hail, Hail, the Gang's Oil Here." (Sorry!)
