Louise English and Sue Upton were both also talented commediennes, with Louise impersonating British comedians Tommy Cooper and Bobby Ball in the Lady Godiva - The Wild West routine.




Sue appeared in many comedic guises with Benny, my personal favourite being the Sue Laurel & Benny Hardy sketch. Many of them are available on her website;

My all-time favourite BH sketch though, was the one where Henry McGee is an artsy film critic and Benny is supposed to be a French film director;

HM - You made the film in black and white as a statement of artistic homage to film noir?
BH - No. We made it in black and white because we couldn't afford colour film!
