I have to agree with most of the posters that the golden age of the Playmate was from about 1977-1988. There were few PMs after 1989 that ever captivated me, as they went from the girl next door to the inflatables to the tattooed women and bare beavers today.

This thread prove that everyone has different taste. I agree, Shannon Tweed was down near the bottom of the 81 playmates but I also didn't like Heidi Soreson very much.

In my opinion only 1982 was a better year for Playboy. !984 was close but 1981 is 2nd and 1984 is3rd. Playboy doesn't pick'em like they used to. I think Penthouse models are better looking now. During the late 70's and early 80's Penthouse and Hustler models showed more but on pure looks none of them came close to Playboy.
