That wouldn't surprise me at all. In the 70s and 80s H&E was notorious for including photos of 'fake' nudists. Mostly glamour model who would have also appeared in the likes of May**** but at least 2 CeeCee girls appeared pretending to be nudists and Bunny Bleu was a covergirl on a 1989 issue.

The magazine's standing in the 'mainstream' naturist world wasn't high but at least it gave you something to look at. I was at a magazine rack the other day and flicked through the latest issue. How the mighty have fallen! Full of articles about naturism for heaven's sake! Hardly any full page colour shots which used to make up a lot of the content back in the good old days.
