Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that's her. The breasts aren't nearly large enough, or the right shape, don't sag, and the areolae are far too small. At least from the photos in the thread. The girl in Hot Moves was probably either a bit part actress in T&A comedies or a 1-time extra used just for that part in that film. I was hoping it was the former but it's probably the latter. |

A Look at the Unknown From "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death"
.
I wanted to put up a post of my own here (which will likely be directly below) but got waylaid by the query of "Oddballs," two posts up: I guess it has been a century since I've watched Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (1989), and my suspicions as to that poster being identified with the film being everywhere was confirmed as soon as I started looking. In other words, given the poster's omnipresence, there must have been inquisitive minds as to whom the actress on the left could have been (omitted from the poster was the third leading lady of the film, Karen M Waldron, who played "Bunny," the lamebrained assistant of feminist professor Shannon Tweed, who is seen — sigh! — at center. Adrienne Barbeau, at right, was the leader of the "Piranhas," named "Kurtz"). There were only two other actresses who received screen credit, and we may rule out the one who played "secretary." The remaining one was Vicky Varner, who played the "Barracuda Leader," or the one in charge of the tribe at odds with the Piranhas. In the first photo, Shannon Tweed proudly shows off her N.O.W. membership card to her fellow sisters. "Unknown" took center stage. I first needed to check where our lady appeared in the film. (Made available online here and here.) It wasn't easy to make the match, because the one in the poster does not have hair as noticeably lush as the one I narrowed the lady down to. I also went by the costume worn in the poster (the blue marking on the forehead should have served as a giveaway, but the other cannibal women also had facial markings), and once I had her pinned down, she first appeared at the 54½ minute mark, while uttering dialogue. It was in the gibberish "Piranha" language, but when a performer gets lines to speak, the odds of receiving credit are increased. (In turn, better opening a path to solving whom she may be.) The only web source I could find (and I spent a lot of time looking through this list of movie reviews, in the hopes that some minutiae-adoring film nerds might have arrived at the solution) that took a stab at the unknown lady's identity was this one, which wrote, "Covers Always Lie: The VHS cover shows Tweed, Barbeau, and another woman (mostly likely Vicky Varner...)" We are in the dark about our unknown, and she was also in the dark in the film. The problem with Vicky Varner is that she has made no other films, meaning another film of hers could not be dug up to confirm what she looks like. That meant one needed to trudge through Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death, and see where the "Barracuda Leader" appeared. Here she was: We may safely conclude Vicky Varner was someone else. Now there's a photo of our lady that has been reproduced all over the place, which may be seen here and is also shown below. Someone misidentified her as Karen M. Waldron, and the second comment was from a rightfully disgruntled party who complained why people are not more careful before drawing conclusions. This writer referred to our unknown lady as "an uncredited actress playing an archer." So I am supposing the only way she may be identified is if she has appeared in other fare and is recognized, or if DVD commentary was included, and someone involved with the production fingered her out when she came on screen. Naturally, the big boy in charge (born in 1960, and still around) could be sought. This Full Moon production's director was J.F. Lawton, who also wrote the screenplay. He also wrote the script for Pretty Woman (1990), and was no slouch (he also wrote the script for the hit movie, Under Siege). Amidst the regular gags, Lawton poked fun at both radical feminists and male chauvinists, in the form of social commentary that elevated the film from the typical exploitationer. I invite you to check out this quick clip where the poor man's Indiana Jones, played by Bill Maher, berates Tweed by exclaiming, "You women's libbers... threw away all that rhetoric about equality and you get down to what you really want, the domination and consumption of men." Pay attention to Shannon Tweed, and not just for the usual reasons. You may see she is more than a pretty face (and body). (If she could bottle what she has, cases of cataracts, glaucoma, and all other eye ailments would be cured.) . Last edited by Findcandor; April 19th, 2024 at 01:24 AM.. |

Brunette From "Erotica"
.
I had to dig up Russ Meyer's Erotica (1961) (it was made available here) as material for my recent post on one of the film's actresses named Denise Daniels (whose thread is named after another actress, as I have discovered; hope the ones in charge of the "Softcore" section will make the soft-correction); I suppose Denise was the big name in this movie, credited first, and having been granted screen time in two different segments, including one at the end of the film called "Bikini Busters." This was one of the other actresses from that last segment: I was absolutely enthralled over this extraordinarily beautiful creature. (Although she was not as striking in other views as with the profile above.) I actually don't care as much about her identity as I cared about sharing this "discovery." (That is, I really wanted to make a record of that wonderful view seen above.) Look at that perfect feminine hand in the last photo. Oh, there are a couple of other attributes in sight as well. Luckily, the ending credits began with the claim of "in order of appearance"... ...So to get down to business, pinning her down boils down (I love to get down) to one of four actresses (besides Denise Daniels, as seen in the "credits" image above), and we may rule out the name of "Brigette Baum" who has a VEF thread, and our lady is not Ms. Baum. (At least I don't think she is; I could be wrong.) That leaves "Susan Lawson," "Jeanne Marie" and "Geri Amos," and what complicates this puzzle is that none has any other screen credit (according to the IMDb cast list) for comparative (i.e., cross-referencing) purposes. An IMDb contributor identified "Susan Lawson" as "Blonde on Yacht," but the yacht sequence is from an earlier segment called "Nudists on the High Seas!" — associated with the names of three other actresses, and the blonde had to be one. Here's that blonde, presumably one of Lana Young, Maya Corner or Neva Shaw. The sign for "Bikini Busters" showed up at the film's 43:21 time mark, and a brunette with sunglasses briefly appeared. Her face was never clearly shown, since the focus was on her extremely big chest. The first identifiable actress was Denise Daniels. As soon as her sequence ended, these two showed up: If we are to rely on "in order of appearance," the first pair who came on screen had to be Brigette Baum and Susan Lawson, and the second pair (which included our lady, as she was one of the last on board before the film's ending) consisted of "Jeanne Marie" and "Geri Amos"... logic then dictates the mystery woman likely was either Jeanne or Geri. (Again, assuming they were strict about their "in order of appearance" claim.) ................ The same pair continued until the end of the film. The lady at left is a "thick" one with a distinctive face. she was present throughout the finale. Problem here is, I'm looking at the sequence, and the ladies of the first pair look the same as those from the second pair. I don't see two distinctive pairs, and further, I don't see anyone who looks like Brigette Baum. (Maybe she was the one with the sunglasses, but her face was never seen clearly.) I don't think our lady will be identified, but perhaps you are better at detective work than I. (Don't let the fact that my middle name is "Sherlock" intimidate you. Or wait; was that "Shylock"?) . |
