Having trouble today again with the forum double posting, then giving me the 502 Bad Message.
The double posting I find frustrating especially when there are requirements of posting 5 links per day. Today I want to add 1 link to one post, and 3 links in another. (Total number of posts 4) However the combination of the 502 error and the double posting is making it a challenge. The first double post I might be able to get away with but not the other 3. 2 x 1 = 2, 2 x 3 = 6. 2 + 6 = 8 links in a 24hour period not 4. + merged double post, had Thanks on both

No need for frustration. I recommend looking at your post(s) after making it to see if they haven't appeared double. If they did they won't count towards the daily limit but if you leave these posts there, they may not get recognized as being glitch-doubles by the moderators). The way to delete a double post: click edit, click delete, select the checkbox 'delete message' (+ write a reason for deletion, something like 'glitch dupe' should be enough) and finally click Delete this message. |

To be completely sure, you can also delete the dupe post, ideally add in as reason something like 'glitch', 'forum dupe' etc. Quote:

I thought the 502 Bad Gateway problems had been sorted out?

True that, in my experience it's just at the moment on the odd occasion when I log in or just after a connection time out. Seems to struggle to load then triggers a 502. A quick refresh of the page and its fine again.
That's just in my experience. I have also just cleared my internet cache, computer cache / memory and logs etc, switched computer off, then did a full modem reboot just incase it was my device / connection.

Now and then?! You must not post much or are very lucky. Posting content almost always results in a 502 or a 504, in either case i need to wait almost a minute or longer in suspense to what error i will eventually get.

It happens more than i like but maybe i'm used to them? It doesn't take long though. Maybe it does if you refresh the 502 page, but when you click the back arrow and try again it goes fast, either into another 502 or in a succesful post. No waiting times. I've also never had any duplicates by the way, maybe they tend to happen more when using F5 refreshes instead of the back arrow (haven't tried so i don't know, i'll test it out at the next 502) |
