I'm using FF 3.5 with NoScript and Cookies disabled and had the same problem. The following worked for me:

1. Temporarely enabling Cookies (Preferences -> Privacy) and Scripts (in NoScript)
2. Click one image. Before the image there is a window which warns that it is contents for adults only. Confirm that you want to see it. You will get a advertising popup after that.
3. If a FF window pops up which ask you if you want to allow cookies from imagebam confirm this.
4. Disable Scripting for imagebam again.
5. Disabling Cookies again (but imagebam is at the "Allowed" list now)

After that everything worked again, but of course imagebam can set/change cookies as they want now

I can not confirm that plugins (i use ImageHost Grabber) are concerned by the problem, that still works without javascript and cookies. The images are loaded, there is just the nasty black box over the images when you view them in the browser.

I've been getting the black screen for about a week now and am using FF 3.6.3 with NoScript and Adblock Plus. I'm also not willing to allow their tracking cookies and scripts so I guess I won't be looking at any of their pix.

Probably the only way to make sure this is temporary is for people to quite using them. RS does stuff like this periodically but eventually go back to normal.

ImageBam timing out all over this evening. Hadn't seen that before. Just have to wait it out I guess.

(ETA: thumbnails loading fine. It's the actual image pages I can't get to...)

(Edit further: Checked Downforeveryoneorjustme at 11:20pm EDT. ImageBam tested down for everyone.)

Same here.... Not able to connect to server.
I've seen this happen more often over the last couple
of months. Sometimes it lasts a whole day.

Looks like site is down.
They did a major upgrade to "V2" so probably have problems.
They have their own forum so join up and ask questions (when they're back up).
If they get enough complaints maybe they will make changes.

I've just had a look through the thread and I can now view the images as required. The only downside to this now is after clicking on the enter button to view the pic, that annoying livejasmin thing pops up. Not just once, but every single time I look at any picture on this host.
When I ran IE some months back, I posted some items regarding uploading and security plus the pop ups. Advised to move to firefox and run noscript, which I did and do now all the time. As soon as I started using FF, all the issues I had with IE just disappeared so I was real pleased with that.
Livejasmin is in the recently blocked sites in noscript, so I'm baffled as to why it now pops up. It is only with this host it happens, I don't get it from any other source. Other than this, everything is fine.
