ImageVenue is the other "big" host that is used by many.

I used to use imagevenue ,but since they keep losing some images
( esp when they were hacked ) I have now went over to image bam for all new images and re-hosted ones when image venue loses some more - image bam is very good and easy to upload they also have a function where you can click in the gallery images you need to re-post on a different thread on the forum - which is a real time saver ( they give you a code for copy and pasting ) really annoying when original images are not recoverable as I sold some magazines thru ebay and they are rare Last edited by 73north; September 18th, 2014 at 12:17 PM.. |

thumbnails110
This may or may not be related but does anyone know why there is such a huge problem with VEF (or presumably vB) and thumbnails110.imagebam.com communicating?
Nine times out of ten, the page hangs if this address is involved. There's no issue with any of the other imagebam addresses (109, 111 and 112 being the other prevalant ones). The same issue arises on PS but not fritchy (which might be on a different server nowadays). Accepted I don't have the fastest connection in the world, but it does enable sight of what part of the process causes the hold up. For ref: XP SP3, FF31+NoScript+Adblock+ Any sensible input welcomed. Regards 40+

The built in Image Uploader is glitchy. Uploads maybe 20% of images.
I should use Imagebam instead? |

Today I find google's "safe browsing" is helpfully blocking all pimp & host images. One can of course override that, but I found their reasoning somewhat interesting:

So they're blocking p&h because p&h has been found to be clean for the last 90 days? |

Plenty of problems today trying to download images from Pimp & Host. Even using Imagine Grabber they are downloading very slowly, so slowly in fact I've given up trying.

Imagebam Virus
Watch out Imagebam appears to be infected. There is some chat on forums that it may adverts on the page and this could stack up as some photos open ok and other divert you. AVG is picking a Trojan attempting access and sometimes an exploit file.
Be warned R |

As most advertisements on adult sites (forums, image hosts, and more) are 3rd party ads, and around half of them come with malicious scripts.
Sometimes your antivirus stop them, sometimes they're completely avoided by installing adblock on whatever browser you're using. Another option is the HOSTS file (I think it's been discussed around this forum, search around, if it's not here then fire up your favorite search engine and you'll find it). What I mean with all of this, is that the "be warned" warning should not pop-up only when your antivirus pops up with it; trojans and browser hihackers on those sites are active most of the time and you won't even notice.
