A NUDE centrefold of a British 'Penthouse Pet' that was blasted into space and taken nearly 400,000 miles to the MOON by an astronaut is being sold a auction.

Nasa's Gene Cernan's took the sexy snap to the moon aboard the command module during the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.
The magazine foldout was removed from the October 1971 issue of Penthouse Magazine and features a full-frontal of 'Pet of the Month' Helen Caunt - but it was censored by fellow prankster astronauts with two convenient stickers of the cartoon characters Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner.

Another nude image of Caunt on the reverse is also playfully modified with a sticker.

He wrote: "I have kept this Penthouse centrefold as a memento of my Apollo 17 mission to the moon after NASA returned it to me in 1973."
