This is an old ebay item. The picture's date is the vague "early 70's". My English is horrible, but I think the picture was published by Rolling Stone magazine (text inside the picture: above/right).

2 pictures published by A Revista do Homem and missing in my post nº15. The original is damaged and was retouched, but some imperfections are visible. I think these images are cropped by the brazillian censorship.
I bought this magazine in secondhand in 70's and it was incomplete: the centerfold was missing.

I lost a picture similar to this picture posted by taarakond (without the small photo):

Evidently they had an independent PMOY in Japan voted on by the readers. I don't know if this gives the top 3 vote getters or is some kind of ballot. Anybody out there speak Japanese?

The headline under "Playmate of the Year" is in Katakana which is the script the Japanese use for non-Japanese words. Literally it reads "Besuto Pureimeito" [ Best Playmate] I assume the two Kanji are for the year.

As for the text, it's in Hiragana [ characters for Japanese words] and Kanji [Chinese characters the Japanese use just to make it even more bloody difficult] and if I'd paid more attention at my Japanese classes earlier this year I'd tell you what it said.

Jill was the PM in the 5th issue of the Japanese edition. Evidently they brought her over to Japan to goose sales. This 2 page pictorial provides both the English and Japanese text of that visit.
