What do you call a woman police officer that shaved her beaver last week............ Cuntstubble.
If Typhoo put the 'T' in Britain......who put the 'cunt' in Scunthorpe? |

Love the word, whether using it as an insult or to describe a chick's sexy pink bits. Sometimes the written word is more of a turn-on that visual stimuli, and reading some of the stories in magazines - with a segment in bold like "he rammed his eight inches of hot meat into my dripping cunt" - can get one pretty rigid down there.
My ex-girlfriend used the word a lot when we were at it, and I will admit that it was a massive turn-on. I can understand why some people would have a problem with the word, but as a Brit it's like water off a duck's back. |

Thankfully, my fiancee is filipina, and still resides in Manila. So of course she is not aware of the social stigma that the word carries here in the States. Naturally, I have her conditioned to use it without exception whenever she refers to her womanhood. (Very exciting for me.) We know that the word goes back thousands of years. It derives from the Old English "konnen," meaning "to know," and therefore means "that which is known." (If you think of sex as being carnal knowledge, you can understand the relationship of knowing to sex.) Up until about 1400, it was a perfectly legitimate word. Chaucer used it in the Canterbury Tales. It is recorded as having been used in the Middle Ages even in a medical context. It is etymologically related to hundreds of English words that refer to "essential femininity" (kin, kind, etc.) and thousands of foreign such words (cushi, canyon, etc.). When the Oxford English Dictionary (the only dictionary in the world to contain ALL English words) was constructed from 1857 to 1928, 'cunt' was the only word omitted. In 1972, it was finally put in. Entire theses, dissertations and books have been written about this word. |

I wonder how true the story is about the computer programme that was suposed to bloke all offensive words, playing havoc with Scunthorp town council computers?

Indeed. We could add to that flaps, flange and mimsy. My favourite one though - which often raises a laugh from Mrs Sharky - is my putting on a Borat accent and saying "vagine"...

"Quim" used to be somewhat popular in the 70's, but I never hear or see it anymore.
