I get that it's free and they make money on advertising but they should try their own product every once in a while. So much crap going on when I try to view a picture it's just not worth it.

This piece of crap is an insult to everyone who uses and contributes to this forum. It seems to me when long-time senior and above members are complaining about the same problem it behooves the Mods and the Administrator to take action instead of continuing to inflict this garbage on their members. PLEASE get rid of this garbage!

All we can do is take every opportunity to show them a better way and hope they move on to a decent image host rather sooner than later. In fact I've seen that happen on several occasions. |

When i first discovered this site i used imagevenue to post, after a member pointed me in its direction. as beying new to forums i had no idea how to post a photo, only problem is i could not post more than 10 images at a time, i could not get imagebam to work for me for a reason i never found out. Then one day i noticed the new browse button for pimp and host, with more than 10 images at a time, i have used it ever since and it only took around 6 seconds to open someones images from clicking on the thumbnail. But over the last few weeks have noticed the slow pace and failed loading of images and the red crosses, i thought it was me at first having a computer issue, until i found this thread.
Today i had a look at imagevenue again and noticed bulk uploader has been added since i last used it, i gave that a try today and it was easy to use and i had no problem with it, so from today i will go back to using imagevenue. bulk uploader (flash uploader) is available at least since 2 years now.. . it's also the default tool to upload if you go straight to imagevenue.com. only if you use an old url/bookmark you reach the old html uploader, which is very unsatifying if you want to upload more than just one image.
hopefully W3C will have insight with this issue one day and will recommend multiple file selection as a standard or at least as an option for html input fields for file uploads. |

Oh dear. I seem to be one of the posters that everyone here hates, because I use PimpAndHost exclusively. It is simply so much easier than imagevenue, imagebam, etc. to use it as an uploader of pictures and offers a utility to downloaders that the others don't (see my sig).
I've found imagewhatever to be horribly unreliable in the past, with pics missing from multiple uploads, and even if I spot that some are missing it's next to impossible to add them later without re-doing the whole shebang. One gets errors now and again when uploading a whole photoset to PimpAndHost of course, but they are very easily noticed (just do a 'find' on your browser (Ctrl F) for the word "error"), re-click the 'browse' button and select those pics that didn't make it first time before inserting the whole lot into your post. I'm frankly astonished that so many folk hate PimpAndHost yet extol the virtues of pic hosts that are, in my opinion, much inferior.

Imagevenue works fine, if you have trouble uploading loads of pictures just do it in small amounts, say 9 at a time. |

So its not just me that thinks pimpandhost sucks the big one.
Was just almost looking at the Milena V thread - opened and then went Christmas shopping for two hours - still hadn't loaded when I got back. And plenty o' Xs as well. And when you do click on a thumbnail image, it loads all the ads just fine, and sits on the image forever before it loads - if it does. Imagevenue seems to upload and download just fine - has hickups once in awhile, and so do others - but pimpandhost sucking is the norm - ugh. I have some Jennie Lee, Nanette and Debbie Jordan to upload this weekend, but not on pimpandhost. Oh - on DSL, not as fast as FIOS or other maybe, but it isn't slow.

seems also that you missed the horrible speed performance of p&h. how much did they pay to you to post such a message? you must still be online with some old acoustic coupler that you don't realize the big difference (oh dear) P&H is ok for internet/forum beginners, or technically not savvy people (not that uploading to imagevenue or imagebam is much harder if you once figured which generated code you have to use her). |
