You'll be glad to know that the three episodes have been posted to Veoh & YouTube. If you can live with hardcoded Greek subtitles, search on veoh.com for "David The Passing Show". A YouTube search for Ingres & Géricault should also be helpful. IMHO these were some of the best drama/documentaries shown on the beeb.

Unfortunately, I've found this with most cable & so-called "free-view" channels. When it comes to nudity they think that everyone is 9 years old and that they are your parents and have the right to cut out (the best) scenes from programmes without consulting you, even if that spoils the whole storyline. Although the Sky channels sometimes show programmes in full, basically the rest are a waste of TV time.
But expect more of it while we have a Tory government in the UK, because were nudity on TV is concerned their record is pretty poor - is it because they think we still live in the 1950's?!

I think it depends more on the views of the individual Home Secretary rather than being a party issue. Under the liberal minded Labour Home Secretary Roy Jenkins, censorship in many areas was greatly relaxed but when an interfering authoritarian like David Blunkett gets a whiff of power, the reverse happens.

Many thanks for that. The logo at the begining of 'The Passing Show' may help secure a 'cleaner' version. But at least my memory was not playing tricks.

I think, in the case of Yesterday, they simply can't be bothered checking whether their tapes are suitable for pre or post watershed broadcast so make a 'safe' version that can be bunged on at any time.

Here is a new name to VEF; this is Vanessa Shaw getting her kit off in a couple of extended scenes from the 1973 movie 'Horror Hospital' - this film is overdue another TX on TV. Apparently her real first name is Phoebe but producer Richard Gordon decided this was too 'posh' for this Anthony Balch directed 'gore-fest'. Her co-star here of course is Robin Askwith (just before his 'Confessions of ....' fame), employing the only type of method acting he knows about.

Here is quite a rare clip and I reckon it's the only chance you will get to see a nip-slip from Una Stubbs. Here she is in scenes from the 1969 movie of 'Till Death Us Do Part' which was made to support the long-running BBC TV comedy series of the same name shown in the 60s and 70s and this film has itself been TX'd on TV several times. Here we briefly get to see her left nip in profile through the arm-hole of her loose-fitting nightdress. Her co-star is of course Anthony Booth, father-in-law of former UK PM Tony Blair. It's quick so I have added a zoomed slo-mo as well.

Does anyone have the clip of Sinead Cusack naked from the rear in Trilby - a near perfect backside - or at least that's how it seemed to me when I was a lad. It was the story of Svengali and his model Trilby, a one off play on the BBC, probably in the 70s but never seen on tape or repeated.
