Default Imagevenue viewing problem

Hello all.

I am hoping that someone can help me with this strange problem, as i have no clue at all. for the last three months now i have not been able to use this forum properly as i am experiencing problems with loading images that posters have uploaded using imagevenue, and that is many posts, this problem is only affecting imagevenue, and i must say i do not believe the problem lays with them, strangely i think it may be my router ?.
When i open up a thread all images load apart for many that have been uploaded using imagevenue, if for instance a poster posts 30 images i may get
around 10 images followed by many small white boxes with the red cross inside. here are screencaps of what i get.

Now if click on a red cross after a long wait i get this message screen.

So if i do a check i get this screen sugesting that it is a router issue.

So i have switched off the router and on again, "no luck".

Then i unplugged the router left it for half an hour, plugged back in again pressed the reset button to wipe ther router of information, "putting it back to factory settings" and then re installed the router back to the configeration to work with my computer. All up and running again i go onto VEF only to find the problem persists, no luck again.

I had one last idea i took computer to work connected wireless to there router logged on and no problem i could view imagevenue with no problem, back home again and the same problem persists, it has now been around 3 months and it is doing my head in.
It cannot be the computer as it works ok at work, so can only think it is a router issue but i have no idea what.

I am using windows 7 and explorer 9 all up to date, but as i say this cannot be the problem or it would do the same at work, i have not changed any settings to cause this problem.
Please does anyone have any ideas and suggestions.
Thanks in advance masdon.

talk with your ISP, i assume the problem has to do with the resolving of DNS.

you can also try using a different DNS entry than the one of your ISP for your TCP/IP connection, you can find free DNS services in the web.

for example:
http://www.opendns.com/home/basic

beside, please use existing threads. (merged this one)

I recently updated Firefox to version 6 and was a tad peeved when Imagehost Grabber was disabled.

The current version (1.6.5.4) isn't compatible with v6 apparently, but I've just found that one can force an upgrade to what I presume is the beta version of 1.6.5.5.

Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...bber/versions/ and click the "Add to Firefox" button.

I've just done that and it seems to work fine.

^^^ Hi Roger

you can get version 1.6.6.20110605 from the official site hXXp://imagehost-grabber.com/

"As of right now, versions 1.5 to 6.* are supported"

downloaded and installed it myself on firefox6 and all seems fine

Default Vista and Imagebam

I'm having problems lately with closing an imagebam picture. The computer I'm using has Vista on it.

Everytime I try to close the picture, it freezes up and I have to close the web browser to get it to close.

Could someone tell me hopw to fix the problem, thanks!

thumbs are back again . P&H has the thumbs on different servers than the fullsize image. so when a server is down, either the thumbnail or the fullsize is down - and even if P&H servers are down very often it's quite unusual that both thumbnail and fullsize are down same time.

Default Missing Pictures

Now, I have the same problem as 'madson' for approx. 1 month.
I use Windows7/Firefox601. It's a page with very many pictures, then Firefox shows 0 to ? pictures, but never all.
If I click on the post number for the post single view, all pictures are indicated (mostly).
Also I have a laptop with WindowsXP/Firefox363. Here there are not these problems with the same internet connection.
I think, ist a problem of Firefox6 or of a newer Win7 update.
