Specific unzip problem-please help
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...2&postcount=91
I have downloaded these three zippyshare files and in my Windows porn folder they look like: Anna Marek - Sperma Teens (1992).avi.Z01 Anna Marek - Sperma Teens (1992).avi.Z02 Anna Marek - Sperma Teens (1992).avi What do I do now to unzip/unrar them and fuse them into one video? I don't usually have problems doing this, but this important upload has me stumped. Many thanks, swift123 |

you have to add .Z03 to the 3rd one
All files must read the same except for the file Number ALWAYS make a back up BEFORE changing files so if there is a problem you still have the original downloaded ones

I'd have thought the third file is really a .zip but that isn't shown because you have the 'hide extensions for known file types' option checked. So just put all three in the same folder, right-click that third file and select 'Extract all...' from the context menu.
[EDIT] This is for Windows 7. In Windows 8 you select the file and 'Extract all' appears at the top I think. In either case, you're using Windows' inbuilt extractor - you don't need to have WinZip installed (XP may be different, I don't know).

I think MrInBetween is right. Split zip files have z01 etc files of the same size and a zip file that is usually smaller than the others. If you have an archive program installed that can unzip split zip files, just right-click the .avi file and choose extract. If you don't have such a program, I recommend 7zip.

Wonderfully helpful people
What wonderfully helpful people there are on this website. MrInBetween hit the nail on the head. I copied the 3 files into a new folder, didn't change any of them, right clicked on the third (the one without a Z number) and left clicked extract here. I now have the video.
Normally all files have part numbers in sequence 1 to 3 (for example) and I normally right click on the first. This time the third was not numbered and I had to click on this the third, not the first. I also tried adding Z03 to the third and attempting extraction in a new folder by right clicking on the first (failed) or right clicking on the third (also failed). Many thanks for all your advice. |
