I don't really want to rock the boat, but should these theatre extracts be posted on this particular thread?

Don't get me wrong, I have downloaded most of them (and have one or two of my own which I could post). I think they certainly have a place on the VEF somewhere, but maybe on a thread of their own.

Just a thought.

I think they can be justified on the basis that they have been sourced mainly from TV transmissions and therefore can be regarded as 'TV shows'. Having said that, I would have no objection to a separate thread. I have about 20GB of clips downloaded from a variety of sites most of which now seem to have disappeared.

I'm a big Rumpole of the Bailey fan. I note that someone has already mentioned the short nude bit in "Rumpole and Bubble Reputation". Someone else mentioned Helen FitGerald topless in another episode; the title of that one is "Rumpole and the Quality of Life".

Unfortunately I'm unable to post video from the episodes, because I loaned my Rumpole DVDs to an old friend, who then moved out of state without returning them.... grrrrr...

I always felt that if a group really wanted to raise money for a cause, they should have a Stripathon. Get the biggest actresses in Hollywood to donate their, um, time, and every time another cash milestone is hit, another big name strips down nude. The most famous, never-before-seen-nude ladies should be high up on the tote board (although I guess in this case it would be a "tit board" ).

A crazy dream, but when I was in my 20s crazy dreams got me though the night.

To me the ultimate TV nude will always be Meredith Baxter in 1994's My Breast.



Several factors converged to make this a major wow:

1) The TV movie was broadcast on CBS. US network TV allowing any real nudity at the time was almost unheard of (the last instance I could remember of actual toplessness was a 70s broadcast of Papillon).

[Note: On the pic posted above the scanner has My Breast labelled as a Lifetime Channel movie. He's wrong. It was CBS. I know this because I was working retail at the time, before my chosen career took off.

I worked in the electronics department of a store that has become famous for its "family values" and general tight-assedness. When CBS reran the movie, in a moment of impetuous mischievousness I tuned every TV in the department to that channel. I then stood back a ways and had a quiet snicker watching families, who had come in to browse the TV sets, freaking when the breast exam scene started.

There were complaints. I plead ignorance ("Boss, HOW could I know that a network TV movie, of all things, was going to have a nude scene?"). The matter was quickly forgotten. Dumb people have short memories. ]

2) Baxter had recently put in eight seasons playing the ultimate wholesome mom on Family Ties. Wholesome + Nude = Woo hoo!

3) Her first topless scene ever, and she was 47 years old. Wow. Yep, she had the MILF Factor on her side.

4) All other reasons set aside, Meredith Baxter was just plain HOT, and for years had had those D-cups hidden away that no one had suspected.

Ms. Baxter has her own thread, so I won't bother reposting the video here. It's amazing, though. I attend a lot of genre conventions, and DVD copies of My Breast are still big sellers on the dealer tables, even after all these years.
