I use NoScript and that doesn't seem to help my Imagevenue problem...unless there's some setting buried in the options that got changed without me knowing. This sucks. I can't view half of the pics on this website now.

I use Noscript and all I need to do is set it to allow javascript on Imagevenue.

I did that and it didn't help. I also DISABLED Javascript and it didn't help. I seem to have fixed the issue (for now) by running Crap Cleaner. I think it was some sort of cookie issue.

since today i'm not able to use firefox imagehost grabber (1.4.2) with imagevenue. imagegrabber founds the files and lists them in the download window (so the pattern seems to be ok), but doesn't receive anything and ends up with "too many retries". i'll tried several posts (all from today) but the problem is allways the same. any advice?

hmm, strange. maybe it was a time based feature.
if not, possibly a restart of my pc helps... edit: nope, restart didn't help and it wasn't a time based feature either. damn. looks like something else maybe someone can c&p his working url- and searchpattern for imagevenue from the host file editor? |

These are the defaults, I've never edited these from when I installed IHG.
URL pattern: ^https?:\/\/img[0-9]+\.imagevenue\.com\/(img|view)\.php\?(.*&)?image= Search Pattern: function() { var req = this.parent; req.callwrapper.cancel(); var prefManager = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/preferences-service;1"].getService(Components.interfaces.nsIPrefBranch); var toDieOrNot = prefManager.getBoolPref("extensions.imagegrabber.k illmenow"); if (toDieOrNot && !req.override_stop) return; var refURL = req.reqURL; if (this.responseText.match(/View Image/)) { updateDownloadProgress(null, req.uniqID, null, null, "Redirecting Request"); write_text("Redirecting " + refURL + " to the actual image."); req.retryNum++; req.reqURL = refURL + '&i=1'; req.retry(); } else if (this.responseText.match(/This image does not exist on this server/)) { write_text("The image, " + refURL + ", no longer exists."); updateDownloadProgress(null, req.uniqID, null, null, "Image Does Not Exist On Server"); req.queueHandler(); } else { var born = refURL.match(/^https?:\/\/img[0-9]+\.imagevenue\.com\//); var the_url = getImgSrcById(this.responseText, 'thepic'); if(!the_url) { var retry_dick = "(" + String(maxRetries - req.retryNum + 1) + " of " + String(maxRetries) + ")"; updateDownloadProgress(null, req.uniqID, null, null, "Incomplete Request. Retrying " + retry_dick); write_text(refURL + " didn't finish loading. Retrying (attempt #" + String(maxRetries-req.retryNum+1) + ")"); req.retry(); return; } if (the_url) { the_url = born + the_url; doStartDownload(req, the_url, req.dirSave, refURL); } } }

now i'm confused. my search pattern was totally different (url pattern was equal):
Code:
function(pageData, pageUrl) { var retVal = new Object(); if (pageData.match(/View Image/)) { retVal.imgUrl = pageUrl + '&i=1'; retVal.status = "RETRY"; } else if (pageData.match(/This image does not exist on this server/)) { retVal.imgUrl = null; retVal.status = "ABORT"; } else { // use the following 4 lines if you are using the id attribute to find the image source. // just modify the "theId" variable to reflect the proper ID var theId = "thepic"; var searchPat = new RegExp("<.+id(?:\\s+)?=(?:\\s+)?(\"|')?" + theId + "\\1(?:.|\\s)+?>"); var tmpMatch = pageData.match(searchPat); if (tmpMatch) { tmpMatch = tmpMatch[0]; var the_url = tmpMatch.match(/src(?:\s+)?=(?:\s+)?("|')?(.+?)\1/i); if (the_url) the_url = the_url[2]; } if(!the_url) { retVal.imgUrl = null; retVal.status = "RETRY"; } if (the_url) { retVal.imgUrl = the_url; retVal.status = "OK"; } } return retVal; } i'll try deinstalling firefox and imagegrabber and do a new install. hope that will fix it. system info: win xp sp3 / .NET framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 / firefox 3.0.10 (addons imagehost grabber 1.4.2, java quickstarter 1.0 for java runtime engine 6) __ edit: i've uninstalled 1.4.1 and installed 1.5.2 (newest version) and everything is fine again thx for helping me, DTravel! ps: i highly recommend the update to 1.5.2, cause it offers some new helpful features for lazy people like me (auto-clear finished requests f.e) |

imagebam vs kaspersky antivirus software
is it just me or does kaspersky antivirus (2009) on win xp has extreme performance problems when opening (or grabbing) images from imagebam?
sometimes i get images after a while but it often happens that the browser (or the grabber) ends the connection with a timeout. to get a bunch of pics i see no other way (for the moment) to stop the antivirus software (then imagebam serves properly), but i don't think this is a cool solution to solve this problem. anyone made similar experiences? maybe someone found a better solution than stopping the protection? some advanced settings in kaspersky perhaps? |
