I am glad to say that I have been with a number of women in their late 20's/ 30's who have specially grown their bush for me.

It was a delicate subject in the beginning in each case. I met most with scantilly trimmed beavers at best. A shocking sign of the times. Then after guarantees of better sex followed by genuinely better sex they once again began to take pride in their front gardens. They also seemed to enjoy not having to bother grooming down below.

This is proof that many women, I think, would still prefer to be natural were it not for the social stigma attached - which comes from porn, as previously mentioned, proporgated by most men.

I have only voiced my preferences to a few of my closest friends - and after a few giggles and caveman jokes I sense at least empathy for my leanings in today's sweeping trend of baldies - I even sense closet bush fans. So we have to get down our local (maybe not to quite such extremes) and bring the subject out into the open. Make it acceptable to like bush. Note breasts that are far more openly talked about - and the tide turning against silicone enhancement at last.

There is hope.

I really fail to understand why a shaved bush became a trend. I can understand the desire for a trimmed bush, but a bald pubic area is repulsive to me. I just can't seem to get used to it.

I felt the same way seeing all the baldies on the Internet. I've gotten more used to it so it doesn't repulse me any more, but it still looks like something is missing. Any woman looks 100% better with a bush.

Unfortunately I'm afraid it's like shaved legs and pits - once people get used to seeing them bare, hair seems disgusting to them. I bet our grandfathers thought hairy pits were sexy.

Don't get me wrong, I love a bush and hate the bare ones. But we are a dying breed.

The only thing I'd add is that there is no chance of getting back to normal and losing the hideous plucked-and-oven-ready look, because people are making money out of it.

Walk around any shopping mall, and you'll see hairdressers and the like advertising "Brazilians" and similar abominations. It's a growth industry. The entire cosmetics biz is built on making women feel bad about their natural bodies, and plenty of other businesses profit from it too.

Nobody shaved their armpits until the 1930s. That trend was started by American fashion magazines, because companies that made shaving gear bought advertising space in those magazines and started insisting that the female models had shaved armpits, so that the shaving companies could expand into the female market.

Nowadays, very few females don't shave their armpits. That "trend" has lasted this long and is in no danger of dying out, and it won't ever die out unless the advertising industry dies out first.

There was a trend in the 60s and 70s, part of the feminist movement, that rejected all the shit that's targeted at women by the cosmetic biz and others... but that's gone. People made fun of the hairy-legged bra burners and feminism itself turned into an anti-male conspiracy theory.

I think female pubes are as dead as female armpit hair, and neither is coming back. In discussing this with someone once, I suggested that the next move is to convince women that labia (another sign of a sexually mature woman) should be the next thing to go. I thought I was exaggerating the point... later I discovered that it's already been done. Only a few, so far, but removal of the labia has happened, and vaginal "cosmetic surgery" is apparently on the increase.

Yes, it's driven by fear of female sexuality, yes, it's based on trying to make women look like pre-pubescent girls, no, it won't stop - because it's profitable.

Those of us who are old enough to remember when nobody shaved their pubic hair are lucky, in a way. At least when I was in my 20s - 1985 to 1995 - I only saw a couple of shaved women. Nowadays, a guy would be lucky to see any unshaved women under the age of 40. I miss being young enough to have a chance with the younger cuties, but I can console myself that at least I don't have to deal with stubble and the oven-ready look.

IMO, trimmed bush is a trend, bald pussy is a trend in PORN only.
The girl next door is likely to sport a trimmed bush: in "real life", all-shaved cunts are even rarer than full bush I think.

Not quite accurate (otherwise the post is excellent). The trend can be spotted to 1915 quite closely. (The 1920s flappers all had shaved pits.) Before that time, women's dresses always concealed the armpits. Fashion began to change abruptly with WWI (skirts got shorter, too), and once the pits were exposed women began to shave them. It was made feasible by the safety razor, which had come onto the market big time about a decade before. Razor advertising certainly helped the trend once it started.

Bush trimming/shaving was given a big impetus by the coming of bathing suits with ever-narrower crotches - though it's hard there to figure which was chicken and which was egg.

BTW the above applies mainly to USA, Britain, and the British dominions. Continental women generally shaved neither pits nor legs until after WWII.
