I think it is a scene very strong for the time. Once again it shows the fundamental importance of the face in a erotic scene.

Hmm.. an other explanation could be the publisher kept the production costs low by only printing the cover in color and the stories b&w. As a result the mags were relatively cheap, which resulted in very high sales figures. The shoots probably weren't produced by Italians but bought from certain European photographers or studios.
