Sure, that could happen, supposing that decency imposed on us by society becomes a driving force on how much we are repressed again, the current trend however is to tell the moral nut jobs which happen to mainly be religious fanatics to go fuck themselves, more and more people are becoming agnostic/atheist and don't respect the decency standards that are imposed on them, I would instead plan on seeing things become much more explicit over time and not the other way around, and to tell the truth I hope I'm not wrong, XD, I love the sight of shaved pussies, to me pubic hair is just like natural panties, it stops the observer from seeing anything in explicit detail.

Of course shaved sells more units than hairy. There's no way it couldn't when at least 99% of product features nothing but shaved women. That doesn't prove what's most preferred, it only proves what's most available. Not gonna sell a lot of hairy product when for the most part it doesn't exist.
The reason that the ladies in the industry all shave is because, sadly, it's become the excepted norm, and they don't dare deviate from that. (No doubt some are carbon-copy clones, mindless sheep, as well, like much of the rest of society.) Which is why so many of us have a profound aversion to American product. What I've noticed is that when I visit cam sites, the hairy girls are a lot busier than the shaved girls are - many guys to their rooms.
