She was born here in New York, but she was raised in Boulder , Colorado. She was in some early episodes of Dallas and then went into the spin-off series,'Knots Landing'. She attended the Yale School of Drama where she met Julie Harris..... destined to become a life long friend and co star in Knots Landing. Knot's Landing was so popular it ran for 13 seasons. It's Joan's defining TV role but she has also done much thearte work and is much respected and loved in the profession. Her name in Dutch means "Joan of ARC", a name given to her because he was sure she would become famous, he was right. Joan is one of the foxiest babes in Hollywood, so it's surprising how few pics i can find out there on the web, maybe some other folk on the forum will have better luck?
