Exactly right BB. And what the hell good would it be to travel abroad and everyone speaks English.?? I go to Spanish speaking countries alot and Mrs. -Edge- and I speak Spanish so that we don't have to be "Grigos Locos".

Well, I don't expect US tourists to learn German when in Austria. Tourists from non-English speaking countries speak English, too. About two weeks ago, while I was waiting for the tram, a Spanish tourist couple asked me about a certain destination. In English, of course. But if an American works or attends a university in a non-English speaking country, he should learn the language. I know two Americans who are working here and their German is pretty good.
