Picking up with the ‘Doctor Who’ girls theme again from a few posts back – Katy Manning (Jo) is credited as having performed at least one topless scene in the 1971 ITV series ‘Man at the Top’. Note that is not the 1973 movie with the same title (which I have on VHS) – although some of the cast are the same she did not appear in the cinema version. I know Steve has posted her topless scene in ‘Target’ previously in this thread and she does of course feature elsewhere on VEF, mainly for her soft-core stills shoot with the Dalek (‘mind where you are sticking that antenna!’) but I can’t find any reference to this series. It’s a long shot as this was in the era before VHS/Beta/V2000 but fingers crossed ….

Does any VEFer have a clip of the topless scene by Ann Lynn in one of the episodes in ‘The Cost of Loving’ series TX’d by ITV in 1977? The episode was entitled ‘Estuary’ and went out in October of that year. I’m guessing she could not have had any lines to deliver as IMDB does not credit her with this appearance. (Equity rules require an actor to be name-checked only if words have been spoken). Ann played Vince Pinner’s mother Rita in the BBC series ‘Just Good Friends’ from a few years back.

I’m looking for a clip of Julia Goodman topless (in the sea and on the beach) in an episode of the BBC’s ‘The Lotus Eaters’ TX’d in 1972. This was a program from series 1 entitled ‘The Fascinating Couple’. She is best-remembered as playing Barbara Kingsley in the BBC series ‘The Brothers’ from the mid-70s. VEF search shows she has had a mention before in this thread though darned if I can find it (search does not point to page number in multi-page thread) but I’m sure that post does not relate to this clip.

To ID this clip, it is taken from the movie ‘The Assignment’ (1977) which I have on VHS. She has a further topless scene in it where she is chained to a wall in a jail. She also did a topless (and profile all-nude) scene and further topless scenes in the ‘The Odd Job’ (1978), a lamentable comedy produced by the late ‘Python’ Graham Chapman, which I also have on VHS. I’ll extract these clips in full and upload onto her own thread in due course. Her topless clips from ‘Steptoe & Son’ (movie) and ‘The Ruling Class’ are already there. She also did a brief tit flash in ‘Unman Wittering & Zigo’ (1971) which I have on DVDR and I will also post there for her fans. * 3 clips added on Mon 23 Feb *

Julie's own website confirms this was 'The Lake', apparently made in 1978 but distributed in 1981 as a short (30m) support for another film by the same director (Lindsay Vickers). Just need to track down a clip now ....
