Am I missing the point here chaps? If the files are PDF then surely it is a PDF to JPEG converter that is needed and not the other way as Dude is suggesting? PDF in my experience does not allow any modification which renders it rather useless for people like ourselves. I'm unaware of any such software that will allow PDF to be manipulated.

It's great to see Tocofan's blog, "All Things Spick & Span" is available again. There are some lovely images of our favourite girls including some "new" images of Nicola Taylor that just about blew my socks clean off when I viewed them. Well done Tocofan! Tocofan's pix are brilliant.

And I'm mega grateful that he's happy to publish from his top flight collection.

I just wish they were bigger scans.

When stretched up to my 1920 monitor, they blur.

But this is small beer compared to actually being able to view never-before-seen Toco pix

Any technical buffs here?

Is it possible to get scans of SS 1/2 plate photographs to scan in more detail?

Here's an attempt at enlarging Tocofan's 500 pixel high pics

- to standard 1200 high pics

- without producing loads of artifacts, excess sharpening, whatever

- as these wonderful pics have an original look & feel that's all too easy to interfere with.

Opinions, frank comments, obscure remarks, all welcome

A Fan of Jan

Jan Newman is a looker; and her skirts are nice and short
She looks great fun; and I would add, she really is my sort

Whether she is sitting on a hillside; or relaxing in the park
Jan show her panties up her dress, which really is a lark

No tights for Jan - is oft the case - as I look up her skirt
It's stockings and suspenders, I'm willing to 'bet my shirt'

The clasps, the clips, the fasteners - they all do so intrigue
As a potential suitor, I would like to think I'm 'in her league'

The dress comes off and lovely Jan poses in her brassiere
Her pretty face, her gorgeous eyes - she is beyond compare

I'd like to see her take a bath, while wearing all her clothes
Just as Dawn, Maria and Rosalind did - for fun I do suppose

The water would be warm; and make her dress transparent
Revealing her underwear underneath as it became apparent

In her wet suspender belt and the rest of her dripping wet gear
We'd glimpse all Jan's assets through her panties oh so sheer

Then dry again, she'd dress anew posing in a low sports car
With legs apart and dress rucked up, our Jan really is a star !

I love the Ken Howard crowd of girls, but for timeless beauty these three Bearsden girls are unbeatable. Ruth, Jane and Sara - simply stunning!

Yes I agree, the Scottish lassies were a sight to behold. I also agree with Nick about Ruth, Jane and Sara. Ruth in particular was a real beauty and my number 1. It was sad that she didn't expand her modelling career into something else. Perhaps a TV career like Anne Scott's? She seemed to disappear around '65/66. Snapped up no doubt by a lucky chap and soon put in the family way?
