The sequence featuring Amma Asante, whose character name is The Black Girl in search of God, is a short adaptation within the play of a 1932 short story by Bernard Shaw with that same title. It lasts about 5 minutes in which she is naked throughout.

Amma Asante was previously an actress in Grange Hill and is more recently a film director (Belle). She was born in 1969 so would have been about 22 when this was made.



IMDB says that she was uncredited, but that is not correct because she is listed on the credits (as are all the others they say are uncredited)

But it now turns out that broadcast was an edited version. And it was an unexpected surprise to discover that it did originally contain proper topless scenes featuring Susan Littler. Obviously some overlap here with the post just above but I have now obtained the complete and unedited version of the 1977 BBC 'Play for Today' entitled 'Spend Spend Spend' from another collector. So I have extracted four scenes featuring the late Susan Littler onto separate files (for ease of downloading) and the fifth file contains Susan dressed in a skimpy two-piece and singing in a seedy nightclub whilst two (uncredited) skanky strippers perform in between songs.

As promised here is ex- 'Grange Hill' babe Amma Asante (she played Cheryl Webb) getting FF in the 1991 C4 TV production 'The Best of Friends'. I am uploading the complete scene in which she appears here without edits so there will be some 'highbrow' dialogue as well! This babe flashed a bit of pubes as she left the bedroom in this clip from the rather quirky 1979-1980 BBC TV series 'Shoestring'. This is from series 1, episode 5 entitled 'Listen to Me' and she played the girlfriend of small-time crook Johnny McGivern (Tom McCabe). Despite having a few lines of dialogue she was not credited with her performance either on the show credits or on IMDB (which sometimes lists uncredited actors) so I cannot ID her.
