Perhaps if someone plans to (mass?) reproduce a higher quality image for resale (in print?) that might not be expensive. I am not sure that market exists as it once did. I enjoy them for what they are. Thanks for all your great contributions throughout VEF.

From the magazine Sucking Candy. This second printing from Academy Press (A Parliament Publication) was released for Jul/Aug/Sep 1982. The original date of this shoot is 10 years or so earlier. It is 24 pages and just contains pics from this photo shoot.

Instead I would recommend this (perhaps incomplete) series of "RG" branded scans which appear to be IMHO of a much better quality. Click on the following storyboard image then page through the following "RG" scans. Any fills will be appreciated. Enjoy.

fragilefranky is right, there are various sources of stills from this shoot. There are three publications I have seen that appear to contain the 'majority' of photos.

John Holmes and The All Star Porno Queens

Candy & John

While many pics in these publications are the same, they all contain unique pics as well. I have Candy & John, I have downloaded John Holmes and The All Star Porno Queens (I can't verify if the entire mag was scanned but I think it was) and I have seen several mag scans from an auction of John Holmes & Candy Samples.

Candy & John I think has the largest amount of stills from 'Terrible Aunt Candy'. When I say this I mean the pics that have candy wearing the stockings and suspenders on that big posted bed.

There are many other pics of Candy & JH were she is fully naked on the checkered bedspread which was shot at the same time (many pics with Valerie Clarke) that was part of the 'Artists & Models Ball' shoot.

One of these days I promise to pull my finger out and scan Candy & John

The Umbrella release of this film is a cracking print, but it is a shame the pan & scan effort to convert to PAL loses frames where Candy's boobs are in full view compared with the older NTSC release, see comparisons below.



It was filmed in 16mm and blown up to 35mm for theatrical release, not sure what was used for the source of the transfer.

Classification history for the Fantasm and Fantasm Comes Again films release in Australia (both Fantasm films were produced by an Australian company) can be found here.

There is a really good 22 min featurette on the DVD release called "Fantasm Penetrated" with commentary from the producers.

I'll summarise what Antony I. Ginnane has to say about the existence of hardcore version of FANTASM COMES AGAIN.

"What you see on the FANTASM DVD is all the footage that they shot. This was because it was primarily aimed at the Australian market where at the time hardcore was banned. However this did not stop some overseas distributors asking for hardcore footage. They decided for FANTASM COMES AGAIN to give themselves an option of offering hardcore footage to those who requested it"

"For the shoot, none of the actors were employed on the basis of providing hardcore as it would cost too much. However a couple of days after filming ended they shot around nine to ten minutes of hardcore footage in an Los Angeles motel room. This could then be edited back into the film should distributors request it. However it was never used because the couple of distributors who requested it refused to pay the extra post production costs. The hardcore material, with the film can labelled FANTASM '99, was lost when the lab where it was stored went out of business. The material has never been seen since."

I have John Holmes And The All Star Porn Queens and have scanned the entire magazine. Sadly the magazine is quite tattered so some of the images could be greatly improved (any fills are appreciated ). Perhaps better copies exist elsewhere...

Below is a contact sheet of scans that *I believe* were not part of any of the stories in the magazine though some may be duplicates. They were just randomly scattered throughout the magazine (including front and back covers). Enjoy.

The pic at the end of the third row looks like Candy in the suspenders and might be from Terrible Aunt Candy, as does the one with Holmes laying against her as she is wearing the stockings and appears to be on the posted bed.
