Art-director Christian remembers the year 1979, when he met Sylvia in the very South of France. She was in the company of an Austrian DOP. And with a couple of Italian guys. Since 1948 it always used to be a very successful TV-format. Entertaining and sometimes really funny. In 1980 it was an Austrian production company to give Candid Camera one more chance – one more repeat of a real classic idea. And because it was 1980 - what would gain more attention as a funny sketch featuring a nude girl in public?

Kovrik shooted the following pictorial in 1976. There is a hard-core part to it as well - I just did not find any pics yet...

Margret worked as a make-up artist way back in the mid 1970s. When Teddy Kovrik shot a pictorial referring to Roman Polanski’s movie „What?” he booked her for the job. She had no idea to what she let herself into. Still shocked more than 35 years later, she refused to talk about it. But finally Marget told her version of the story...

Fashion photographer Peter Baumann raised the idea to shoot a model in deep snow wearing fur coats and nothing else. His client, a wellknown furrier, was not sure if images like that would be appropriate for a Winter-sale flyer. Baumann insisted on his idea and as a consequence they shot with a fully dressed model and a naked model to pose in different coats - in deep snow. Guess who the nude model was...

A very exemplary collection of photos covering the Disco Fever of the late 1970s.
Sylvia Groess and her amateur-model friend Beate posing for a poster on occasion of the Grand Opening of a disco in Vienna. The first shot is the pose used for the published poster – or a very similar one.
The photos also reveal why Sylvia was a professional model while Beate just „worked” because Sylvia talked her into this. („Disco Duo” was the first of five shootings the girls did together)

At a dinner in a good restaurant, the author of the upcoming book about the 1970s invited Sylvia’s long-time friend Annegret and the old lady’s new spouse Uwe to talk about the times after Sylvia appeared as heroine of a than famous ad-campaign.
He asked the lady to have a look into her diary again to be prepared to give away a couple of priivate details.
The outcome is a kind of summary...
