New scan. This ad was used in various issues 1977-1979, but she was initially not referred to by name in the text until later.

Reading about her passing a couple years ago made me reflect.

She became of one of my favorite Playmates instantly based this photo, and that was before I even saw her original gatefold appearance. Usually there would be say, a breaking in period of several photos before I'd like a certain model, but it was this one of hers that grabbed my attention right away. It's a rather simple, yet seductive photo; all she's doing is casually sitting on a box and giving a sly grin, like she knows what you're thinking about or what you'd like to do with her (and vice versa).

I must have viewed this picture many times in my youth (and still do), not unlike Andy Dufrense in The Shawshank Redemption, when he spent many a lonely time staring at a poster of babes from different eras as a therapeutic mechanism in prison. I eventually got around to getting her issue a few years later, and I knew I made good choice. She could combine sexiness, sensuality, and innocence with just how she looked at the camera (i.e., us -- the viewer).

(I wish there was a complete set to this.)

10 months after the Singing Playmates (Nicki Thomas, Michele Drake, Sondra Theodore, and Heidi Sorenson) pictorial in the US edition, they went to Tokyo. These are not the pictures from the US edition, but a completely new pictorial.
