The red crosses are normal that is when some of the older uploads where lost, those pictures are no longer available, for some other issues its likely to help when you have javascript disabled (on ImageVenue), when you browse with Internet Explorer you can do that via adding "*.imagevenue.com" (with the *) to the Restricted websites:
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t24...problems-.html With Firefox the earlier mentioned noscript addon can be used to achieve that. |

perhaps off-topic
I have the feeling, but it could be me, that the pics I put on imagevenue are in much les quality than originaly scannend (200dpi), is there perhaps another better image hoster where you don't lose this quality. I don't like the idea scanning higher resolution, it's already taking me loads of time to scan and that would only make it wurs.
Any advice?

I've compared two of my uploaded images with my original files and they're identical. But this may depend on the file size, my images where about 200 kB.
Maybe you have used the "resize image" feature when you uploaded the files? Cheers, svga

Firefox & "Show the Image" extension & imagebam
Hello,
I've installed the "Show the Image" V0.5 extension for my Firefox 3.0.5. This extension adds a button to the toolbar and if you click on this button the largest image only of the currently viewed page is shown. That's useful to get rid of all the stuff around the image one isn't interested in. Howerver, this doesn't work with imagebam. If I click the button at a imagebam-page I only get a dialog to save the image. Anybody has an idea what's wrong? Thanks in advance, svga

I think Imagebam are now serving the images in a flash player, rather then by the old way of html (local) and the newer way of php (server side) (both which can be bypassed using image downloaders)

No, imagebam serves the images by using plain HTML, even javascript isn't required to view the images. And if flash would be required I even wouldn't see the images because I bock flash for imagebam

I'd guess its a free versus premium issue as theres a very vague mention of an upgrade to premium will result in improved image viewing
Maybe a post to them will shed some light http://groups.google.com/group/imagebam/topics?gvc=2 Until recently i thought firefox was God but it appears not every extension is perfect http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions Either way you've got 2 avenues to chase down the real reason |

I stopped using it, not because of ads but because of ImageHostGrabber-problems. Yes, I know how to fix that problem, it just doesn`t work for me and I`m not only one.
But now it has turned even worse with pop-ups, so I upload to Imagevenue now. Still, I understand that ImageBam`s gotta make some money too. I know that guys like me are lowest leechers in the eyes of ImageBam, when Grabber worked properly I didn`t even saw their site! |
