This is what worries me. As recently as World War I, almost no woman shaved their armpits. But razor companies "created" this idea that it was "unclean" or "unfashionable," or whatever, and today it's kind of socially the norm.

Since I grew up never having seen hairy pits, I find the notion unattractive. I fear that that's what today's youth think...they assume bald vag is "normal," and so i fear that pubic hair will increasingly be seen as archaic.

I must agree with mesmer. A pussy surrounded by hair is very much a turn on when it comes to viewing photographs of nude women. Years ago magazines like 'Health and Efficiency' [The introduction to the nude female for many lads at that time] carefully 'airbrushed' every vestige of hair to the extent that the women looked as though they had no pussy at all. Agree with you 100%, Ashkelon. I know it's not PC to object to the stark exposure of the vulva that today's bald look gives, but I definitely vastly prefer the look with some protective "shrubbery".

I find it interesting that in recent years, with the exposure due to defoliation down there ( shaving, waxing, whatever) there has come a major concern about the appearance of the vulva and labial lips. The consensus has grown that large, full labial lips are unsightly. For this reason you will notice that the vast majority of the bald women we see on the Internet have small or barely noticeable labial lips. If you don't believe this, check out one of the sites that shows the full range of labial lips on normal women. Women are concerned about this; they even go so far as to have surgery .

I, like Ashkelon, much prefer a vulva that is nestled in a lovely nest of pubic hair. I've seen unshaved and shaved pictures of the same woman and find that I really like a vulva full enough to protrude from a luscious bush. If you are like me and most members of this forum , you really like the "good old days" when a nice, furry pubic patch was practically universal. And when viewing pictures of such women, I have always found I preferred the ones with a vulva that is visible among the beautiful curls of hair. Those vintage women where all you could see was fur probably had rather small labial lips ( unless they were air-brushed or otherwise deliberately photographed so the lips were not visible).

Now, take the same beautiful woman with some nice full labial lips peeking out from her bush, remove the protective hair, and what do you have?
Large, in-your-face , "meat curtains" . I've seen unshaved and shaved shots of the same woman, and frankly, I don't like the starkness of the defoliated version.

This is probably why there is a definite selection process going on in today's porno. If a woman has full labial lips she just doesn't make it (unless she has surgery or something). The picture in tedder's post above is an counterexample . A woman this full lipped and exposed is rare today except in more hardcore , explicit shots.

As a consequence , most of what you see on the Internet today is hairless women with barely noticeable genitalia. It's as if the whole area has been erased. So, as Ashkelon would ask, what are we looking at here? a woman? We can't tell because what we're looking at is a blank spot with maybe a little fold which may or may not be a woman's genitals.

Vallium is a nasty and addictive drug as im sure many of you will know , this is the reality of waxing !! So bad one needs to get doped up to endure it !! I recentley went back to shaving after having 1 "bad wax" that ended in a ingrown hair the size of a golf ball ( so painfull i could hardly walk for 2 weeks , couldnt work or anything ! ) .Very nasty , painfull and un-necessary.

Im going to let the hair grow back and see how it goes for me ...........
