The vintage section has no lesser-known-German thread AFAIK, only a general one. Perhaps it would be worth creating some of these more nation-specific ones in that section; it would give such posts a better fitting home (and thin out the general thread a bit).

A good idea, a quick search found 6 posts of German and Austrian vintage celebs, now in their own thread.

looking through the thread of lesser known classic German celebs, regarding their birth dates, some should move into the new lesser-known-German-vintage thread:
Hilde Rom (no DOB known, but defintely before 1936)
Elga Machaty (2nd post)
Brigitte Grothum (born 1933)
Sabine Peters (born 1912)
Lissy Arna, Hannelore Axman

found there also a few that have their own threads: Barbara Schoeneberger (2nd 3rd 4th 5th) own thread;
Christa Linder (own thread), Katarina Witt (own thread)
Christa Ludwig (own thread)
this post was apparently left behind when Doris Birett's thread was created, and is now obsolete

Out of interest I'm currently working my way through all threads in Modern celebs weeding out the dead stuff and tidying up the generic threads, once I have completed modern I will move onto Classic but as you may appreciate it is a very long job.
In the meantime by all means continue to report individual items.

in the lesser known Italians thread there is apparently some kind of zombie post lying around that is messing up page numbers; before my recent postings it did also mean that the thread would pretend there's always something new in it (it no longer does)
