Rosalie Crutchley
Born: Rosalie Sylvia Crutchley on January 4, 1920 in London, England
Died: July 28, 1997 (age 77) in London, England, Oddly beautiful actress who played Acte in "Quo Vadis", Frau Freud in John Huston's "Freud", Madame DeFarge in "Tale of Two Cities". She was also the "Queen" in the Prisoner episode, "Checkmate" and played creepy housekeeper Mrs. Dudley in "The Haunting". I think I fell in love with her though when she played Katherine Parr in "The Six Wives of Henry VII". I wonder if I'm her only American fan. Last edited by Wendigo; April 4th, 2015 at 11:59 AM.. No Dxmikey, you are not the only American to admire Rosalie. She possessed an exotic almost Mediterranean look. Her eyes revealed an inner burning passion that her characters were always trying to hide beneath an outward cool and even coldness. She played Catherine Parr in "the Six Wives of Henry VIII" and Catherine of Aragon in Disney's "The Sword and the Rose"
