Killing

The masked villain with one of his victims-lovers interpreted by "cinéma-bis" actress Erna Schurer. The story was entitled Nuda per il boia [Naked for the Executioner, 1968].

Killing was written by Luigi Naviglio, directed by Rosario Borelli and set in an unrealistic America (Rome and whereabouts!). The terrible faceless villain was usually aided by his inseparable Dana, portrayed by the blonde and well-endowed Luciana Paoli.

By the middle-sixties the first photo-stories for mature were born, often peopled by new amoral and dark anti-heroes, the answer (always utilizing the same digest-sized format) to the masked black characters of that era's comic books. The "naked and raw fumetti" followed the evolution of sexy comics: after the costumed criminals, a series of secrets agents, vigilantes, detectives, sexually-superpowered aliens, western and space heroines burst on the scene. One of the first (and best) examples of this trend was the sadistic Killing.
