Boy I'm glad someone started a Priscilla Barnes thread...one of the great Three's Company women and one of the only ones who ever did any nudity (outside the show of course). Here's a few appetizers for you including her Penthouse layout in its entirety (my scans)...

Actually, it was Jenilee Harrison who replaced Suzanne Somers first--playing Chrissie's cousin Cindy--and she was written simarlarly to Suzanne's character: a little dumb and clutzy. But the producers apparently wanted to go in a different direction and hired Priscilla to play Terry who was more level-headed and less of a "dumb blonde" type. Jenillee remained on the show as a featured character for a few more years (and received billing in the show's opening credits) and made many guest appearances after that as well.

For anyone who didn't know...according to the wikipedia page on her she posed for PH under the name Joann Witty. She sued them when they republished the spread under her real name after she joined Three's Company...

This "Joanne" is pretty but she is NOT PB. Still... Priscilla did enough nude scenes to make us happy.

The authenticity of Priscilla's Penthouse layout (as "Joanne Witty") was confirmed long ago (decades ago actually). It was repeatedly mentioned in the press after she joined the cast of Three's Company and has been confirmed by numerous sources including Penthouse itself.

It's common for young would-be models/actresses to do nude photoshoots as a way of breaking into the business (Demi Moore, Adrienne Barbeau, Deirdre Hall & Donna Reed all did them prior to making it big as actresses), and it's also common for them to use an alias. Many, if not the majority, of Pl@yb*y and Penthouse models don't use their real, or full name when appearing in those magazines. Even well-known porn stars have used them when doing photoshoots for different magazines.

As for the resemblence...it sure looks like her to me and always has. Penthouse's use of soft-focus photography might slightly obscure the resemblance and I believe Priscilla had a little cosmetic surgery done on her face and body (another common practice in Hollywood going back to the 1960s at least). That would account for the lack of strict resemblance to her Three's Company-era look (which was at least 5 years after the Penthouse shoot), but it's definetly her.

YOU ARE CORRECT.

I have always been suspicious of those pics. Remember, this was way back before the Internet boom. I found a site: http://www.precydent.com/citation/792/F.2d/943 that seems to explain things in great detail.

The judge ruled for her.

"Penthouse shall promptly deliver to Barnes the original transparencies, and any duplicate transparencies thereof, of all photographs which were taken pursuant to the contract..."

But the cat was out of the bag.

It confirms that it was her. Wow! Amazing what a plastic surgeon and some hair dye can do...
